Training Terrier Puppies can be very easy because they are intelligent but it can be also difficult because they tend to be stubborn at times. They tend to act up when there are other pets around or people. They are also very active which means they play a lot or run around.

When you plan on Training Terrier Puppies be sure that you are patient, compassionate but firm with them. This way they know who the leader is and they know who to obey. Do not in any way hit them because this will just make it hard for you to train them. They do not react very well when they are hurt. It is better to train them while they are still young because untrained terriers can cause a lot of problem in the household. Like barking all the time and running around the house.

  1. Always repeat the command. Instruct the dog to perform the task repeatedly do he can master it.
  2. Be persistent. Do not give up on them when they are acting up. Training Terrier Puppies or any dogs require a lot of persistence.
  3. Commend them when they performed the task right. Always say your praises to the dog aloud. This will create positive feedback from the dog.
  4. You can also give them rewards every after a task performed by the dog. Though, this should not be the case always because they might get used to it.
  5. Spending time with them will also build trust between you and the dog.
